This is who I am

The Outdoors

They say the outdoors is a certain place that only a few groups of people like. They also say that its like home. You underestimate what you can see outdoors and what there is to discover beyond the trees. Most people don’t understand what it’s like to be far away civilization and what it's like to be separated from everyone. Where the nearest cell signal is 20 or more miles away. Some people don’t get the chance to get beyond the city or travel out to a national park or an area with scenic view. Some people say they can’t afford it but most the time you only need simple items to make it out in the outdoors or wilderness. They say it comes with many dangers that can affect someone permanently as a person or if they are by themselves. Everything you do outside will either come with a consequence or a positive feature. You can only live once and doing somethings outdoors can kill you. They still say that technology is destroying our national parks and destroying the opportunity to keep those parks open for a longer time period. TIme goes by fast when your out doing things or even being outside around your home. Wether your out doing work or just sitting outside, breathing fresh air from the trees around you gives you a relaxing feeling. Most of the time technology takes over and people don’t get up and are not at active to get up and do something. Overall the technology that is evolving is going to make it harder and harder for some people to get out and see things that they might never get to see again. They also say that when people bring other types of technology in the outdoors or other national park they usually cause a bigger accidents like death or serious injury. As a person most people should be able to go and see things like everyone else even if you are older or younger.

Statement:

The picture relates to the flash fiction story by showing who I am as a person and who others are as a person. Not describing me the whole time in the story but part time. And showing how different I am to others and what I like to do in my own time. The picture shows one thing that you could do in the outdoors but there are many other things that you can do as well. And it shows how brave you have to be. It also shows how independent I am and shows how I don’t need anyone else's help with what I am doing.

The flash fiction piece capture a snapshot on who I am as a person and what I like to spend my time on. It shows how no one can be the same as you and that everyone is different in one way or another. And they tend to have some similarities but not all are the same making everyone different.

Reflection:

This unit I have been able to learn on how bias works and what it is. You also start to get to know what other think and how there bias is against the same topics that you have done. The class also expresses other things that you might not have heard about before and that helps you learn new things everyday.

  1. I agree with the individuality. My favorite line in your flash fiction is "Everything you do outside will either come with a consequence or a positive feature."

  5. i agree that people should spend more time outdoors. it can really give you time to think about life. taking technology into the outdoors can cause some problems because people aren't paying their full attention to their surroundings.

Flash fiction AJ Wenger       Get out of bed and go to school. Don’t roll over and reset your alarm for another 10 minutes you know that 10 minutes is going to turn into an hour or two. You feel at the time that the extra sleep is so needed until you realize everything your missing at school will need to be made up. you know you’ll get that extra hour of sleep thinking its going to make you feel better the rest of the day but really when you get out of bed you’ll be bored and wished you would’ve gone. Every time you do this to yourself you start to get stressed out and wonder all day what you’re going to tell your parents when the attendance office calls them at 6. After all that stress you’ll go through a whole other wave of stress wondering when and how you can make up for the 7 classes you missed. By the end of the day you’ll realize that yet again you’ve accomplished nothing with your day but the thought of doing it all again tomorrow still is lingering in the b...

Taller Mountains to Climb

Taller Mountains to Climb Made it this far, not knowing what the world could bring. Authors Note: I chose this picture of me in Colorado because I believe that there is a deeper meaning than me just standing on a rock. I think the rock can represent a strong start, but you can see in the background of the picture that there are bigger rocks to climb. I think this can relate to my life because I am about to graduate, which can be compared to the rock I am standing on. On the other hand, I know that there are bigger rocks and a bigger meaning to life than just high school. Although high school is a good start there is always those “bigger rocks” or bigger problems that I must climb over. I decided to use a longer 6-word story because it also explains the type of personality I have. I like things short, sweet, and to the point. Taking the class perspectives has opened my view of the deeper meaning in small things and realizing that our personalities reflect the perspec...
